How do i install my commercial Zap Box?

Mounting The Zap Box

1.            Mount The Zap Box to a clean wall near the power panel, and feed the connection cables through the conduit into the power panel.


Installation Procedures:

1.            Turn off power to the circuit breaker panel before connecting The Zap Box.
2.            Install the new circuit breaker onto the power panel.
3.            Connect the (black) L1 and (red) L2 and (blue) L3 wires to the circuit breaker, and the ground wire (green) to the ground bus.


Generator Installation Procedures:

  1. Install a normally closed contactor
  2. Connect the The Zap Box to the load side of the contactor
  3. Connect the 30A breaker to the line side of the contactor
  4. Connect the normally closed contactor switch so it opens when the generator starts up

How does The Zap Box work?

The basic principle is as follows;

Inductive loads such as electric motors, pumps and compressors kick back unusable energy into the power system.

This unusable energy materializes as heat build-up in appliances, noise on transistor radios and cordless phones, etc.

The Zap Box contains capacitors that absorb this unusable energy and recycle it as usable electricity that can be used by electrical appliances - thereby reducing your energy demand from your power company.

Depending upon how much inductive load is present, how often those motors, pumps and compressors cycle on and off and how old or efficient they are will determine the savings available to you.

Another factor is the rate structure of your electric utility, you may be able to save a substantial amount of additional money on your electric bill.
